We set off from the charming village of Afurada and sail upriver past Porto's most iconic landmarks — first the Arrábida Bridge, then the legendary Luís I Bridge, the Infante Dom Henrique, Dona Maria, São João and Freixo Bridges — pausing to share stories and curiosities about the rich history of Ribeira and Porto's remarkable waterfront.
In front of the majestic Freixo Palace, we reverse course and head towards the open Atlantic. We pass through the Douro Ecological Reserve and the mouth of the Douro, entering the ocean where you can admire the beaches of Gaia and Porto and the cruise terminal in Matosinhos — a breathtaking panorama few visitors ever see from the water.
